Supporting Material for Topstep Proposal
Algorithm Development & Deployment Context
These screenshots provide limited context for the personal letter and Topstep Labs proposals I sent to Topstep leadership. They are included to show the stage of algorithm development I had reached before problems surrounding deployment disrupted the project.
In early February 2026, I was finishing simulation testing of algorithmic strategies in NinjaTrader, including a Micro Gold system designed to scale into larger positions while controlling risk.
Later that month, Topstep imposed a complete MGC restriction and then replaced it with position limits that prevented me from deploying the gold system in the form I had spent hundreds of hours developing. Those changes did not erase the research or the algorithms, but they interrupted the transition from development and simulation into actual use with Topstep.
By September, I was still developing and testing algorithms, but I was also still struggling to make the final transition from systems that I could watch operate in simulation to systems I was comfortable allowing to execute through TopstepX. That experience is part of why I proposed both a Performance Quality Challenge and organized Team Trading through Topstep Labs.
Early February — Simulation Testing
Late February — Strong Simulation Results
September — The Development Continued
